Hello Firefly Families!
This week our focus was on CONSTRUCTION! We made our reading arch into a construction site full of tools and things to build, played with construction "mud" dough complete with mini diggers, hammered real nails into foam bricks, created construction vehicles out of different shapes, wrote and responded in our journals, "I built a...", built bridges & buildings with Solo cups and popsicle sticks, and recreated famous landmarks with blocks! We read the books Mighty, Mighty Construction Site, Digger Man, Dazzling Diggers, and Construction Site: Road Crew, Coming Through!. We finished up our HWT letters this week with letter Z.
