Happy Friday, Firefly Families!
We had a SPOOKTACULAR time this week in the Firefly Room! We painted gourds, hammered golf tees in a pumpkin, used pattern blocks to make jack-o-lantern faces, finished the journal prompt, "What are you going to be for Halloween?", made some Halloween SLIME and practiced ripping paper to make ourselves into mummies. After reading Pumpkin Jack, we started a cool experiment with a gourd in a jar with a little soil to see if it will deompose and sprout in a few months! We read the books We're Off to Find the Witch's House, Pumpkin Jack, Where's My Mummy?, and Strictly No Elephants to get ready for our "We All Belong" day next week. Our HWT letter of the week was Q. Our new character word for this quarter is CURIOUS. Check out the "Ride & Reflect" below to get your chld to talk more about being curious!
