March 23rd - 26th, 2026: Rainy Days in Spring

Hello Firefly Families!

This week we focused on RAINY weather in the spring time--along with rainbows and worms! We created a class book about what we see in the spring time, used droppers to create a rain painting on the easel, did a cloud/rain science experiment learned about the colors in the rainbow and painted one, answered the journal prompt "What's your favorite weather? Why?", used tweezers to sort through different colored/sized worms in a sensory bin and used WORMS (noodles) to paint. We read the books I See Spring, RainLet it Rain, Worms, and Worm Weather. We also watched some fun science videos online about rainbows and worms. We are still working on reviewing the HWT alphabet we did I, J, K & L this week. Our new character trait for this quarter is Caring. Check out the "Ride and Reflect" below!

March 9th - 12th, 2026: Welcome SPRING! (Week 1)

Hello Firefly Families!

This week we started talking about the season of SPRING! We learned about what we see outside in the spring, windy weather and clouds. We created wind socks, practiced writing spring words in an emergent reader book, played with mud dough and flowers, created spring pattern crowns and played a rhyming game together as a group on the rug. We focused a lot on rhyming this week! We reviewed the letters E, F, G & H in HWT and we read the books The Thing About Spring, What I See In Spring, And Then It's Spring and a few digital books on Epic!.
