March 25th - 28th, 2024: Rainy Days in Spring

Hello Firefly Families!

This week we focused on RAINY weather in the spring time--along with rainbows and worms! We created a class book about what we see in the spring time, used droppers to create a rain painting on the easel, did a cloud/rain science experiment, learned about the colors in the rainbow and painted one, answered the journal prompt "What's your favorite weather? Why?", used tweezers to sort through different colored/sized worms in a sensory bin, and used WORMS (noodles) to paint. We read the books I See Spring, Rain Showers, Let it Rain, Skyfire and Worm Weather. We also watched some fun science videos online about rainbows and worms. We are still working on reviewing the HWT alphabet, we did E F G H this week. Our new character trait for April is HONESTY.
