Hello Firefly Families!
This week we had fun learning about birds! We cut out and painted our own birds & made their nests, went on a pinecone hunt to find pinecones to make bird feeders with sunbutter & birdseed, and played a rolling dice game with birds to get them back to their nests. We put our bird feeders near the garden and will check on them next week to see if any birdies ate them! We read the books Birds for Kids, Grumpy Bird, and Mama Built a Little Nest. We also read the book Ruthie and the (not so) Teeny Tiny Lie to talk about our character trait of the month HONESTY. We are still reviewing the alphabet and this week we focused on I, J & K.

*If you have any empty & clean food containers please send them our way next week for our Firefly Market while we are learning about food groups! We are trying to have all food groups represented. Thanks to anyone who have already donated!
