February 12th - 15th, 2024: LOVE, Valentine's Day & Chinese New Year

Happy Thursday, Firefly Families!

This week we continued our focus on LOVE and celebrated Valentine's Day with our friends. We decorated bags for our valentines, sorted/patterned with conversation hearts, responded to the journal prompt, "Who do you love? Why?", and went on a beginning sounds hunt around our room (fun for all!). This week we also learned about Lunar/Chinese New Year and made lanterns and dragon faces.

Our HWT letter of the week was W and we read the books Love Monster, The Day it Rained Hearts, Happy Valentine's Day, Curious George! and Celebrate Chinese New Year.

*NO SCHOOL: Monday, February 19th for President's Day

*We are bringing blankets home today! Please wash and send back Tuesday. Thanks!

*Lots of items in the lost and found downstairs by the carpool doors. If your child is missing anything feel free to come take a look!
