Hello Firefly Families!
This week the Fireflies talked about SPIDERS and how they make their webs. We worked on sorting spiders from other insects and bugs, made our own spider webs, and used our handprints to make spiders! We did a ghost number hunt around our classroom, finished an emergent reader book, "Counting Spiders" to practice numeral writing, finished the journal prompt, "What's in your dark, dark box?", made sPoOkY potion and created monster faces after reading Go Away Big Green Monster. We also counted out spiders to match the number on their webs, and practiced sequencing with our Halloween sequencing puzzles. We read the books The Very Busy Spider, In a Dark, Dark, Wood and Go Away Big Green Monster! and watched some fun non-fiction videos about spiders. Our HWT letter this week was C.
