October 9th - 12th, 2023: Spooky Stuff!

Hello Firefly Families!

This week the Fireflies talked about SPIDERS and how they make their webs. We worked on sorting spiders from other insects and bugs, made our own spider webs, and used our handprints to make spiders! We did a ghost number hunt around our classroom, finished an emergent reader book, "Counting Spiders", finished the journal prompt, "What's in your dark, dark box?" and made monster faces. We also made spiders out of play dough using black pipe cleaners and googly eyes. We read the books The Very Busy Spider, In a Dark, Dark, Wood and Go Away Big Green Monster. Our HWT letter this week was C.
