Hello Firefly Families!
We had fun in the Firefly Room room this week! We learned that bats come out at night and this means they are nocturnal animals. We painted a yellow moon and cut out bats to fly over it, made our own Spookley the Square Pumpkin, used plastic hammers to hammer golf tees into a big pumpkin and wrote in our journals about what rhymes with BAT. We also made Halloween slime, sequenced the story of the "Big Pumpkin", and painted "Five Little Pumpkins" sitting on a gate. We read Five Little Pumpkins, The Big Pumpkin and Spookley the Square Pumpkin and watched the video "Bats By Night" by Wild Detectives. Our HWT letter this week was O.
Thanks again for a special birthday! What a great way to kick off our Fall Break! :)

Five Little pumpkins, sitting on a gate.
The first one said, "Oh my! It's getting late!"
The second one said, "There are witches in the air!"
The third one said, "But we don't care!"
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun?!"
Then woooooo went the wind and OUT (clap) went the light!
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
Here are some pictures from our week!
