Happy Friday, Firefly Families!
We had a SPOOKTACULAR time this week in the Firefly Room! We painted gourds, hammered golf tees in a pumpkin, used pattern blocks to make jack-o-lantern faces, finished the journal prompt, "How is your jack-o-lantern feeling?", made our own Spookley the Square Pumpkins, and practiced ripping paper to make ourselves into mummies. We also had our LECC "WE ALL BELONG" pledge day complete with a dance party & parade, and talked about how to be welcoming and loving to all at school. We read the books We're Off to Find the Witch's House, Where's My Mummy?, Spookley the Square Pumpkin and Strictly No Elephants. Our HWT letter of the week was Q.

*Wednesday, October 29th: Thies Farm Pumpkin Patch Field Trip, 9:30-11:30! If you are coming back to school, meet us here at NOON in the cafeteria!
*Thursday, October 30th: We are celebrating HALLOWEEN! Have your Firefly wear their costume for our LECC Halloween parade (9:15 am--parents are welcome to come watch!) and a fun day at school :) If your child comes on Fridays, they can wear their costume on the 31st as well!
*Tuesday, November 4th: NO SCHOOL!

Fall Fling is Friday, November 7th from 6pm-9pm at Tropicana Lanes. Please join the LPA at our largest fundraiser of the year. It is a night of bowling, silent auction and LECC community you do not want to miss. Please click here for more information and to purchase tickets!
