Hello Firefly Families!
What a fun week we had! With the pajama day Wednesday and the Halloween parade yesterday--it was a SpOoKy good time! 🎃 We worked on one-to-one correspondence counting spider rings with our roll and fill game, carved our very own Firefly jack-o-lantern and practiced sequencing the steps, made ooey gooey GOOP, created skeleton hands out of Q-tips and wrote about what we are dressing up like for Halloween in our journals. We were loaned the book The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt by Riley's family, and talked about how it's ok and special to be different (goes so well with our "We All Belong" day last week!). Our Friday friends went on a spooky Halloween scavenger hunt, and watched the 5th graders Halloween Orchestra concert & fun costume parade outside. We read the books Room on the Broom, The Night Before Halloween, It's Halloween Night and The Little Ghost Who was a Quilt. Our HWT letter this week was G.
Our new character word for the semester is CURIOUS! Here are some questions you could ask your child about being curious.
Reminders:
**Don't forget to send in your Halloween pics! We would like to have everyone in our class book. THANKS!
