Hello Firefly Families!
This week we started learning about the season of FALL and all the changes we see outside during this time of year. We went on a fall nature walk to collect fall items and wrote in our journals about what we found, watercolored fall leaves for our seasons tree, painted fall trees using loofahs, used pretend leaves/acorns/pumpkins to work on patterning, cut out leaves for cutting practice, and completed the emergent reader book, "I See Fall", to work on letter writing. We read the books We're Going on a Leaf Hunt, Awesome Autumn, Fox and the Falling Leaves. Our HWT letter of the week was S.
Fall Leaves (sung to the tune of "London Bridge")
All the leaves are falling down,
falling down, falling down.
All the leaves are falling down,
orange, yellow, red and brown.
If you listen you'll hear them say,
hear them say, hear them say.
If you listen you'll hear them say,
"Winter time is on its way!" (whisper)
