January 8th - 11th, 2024: SNOW!

Hello Firefly Families!

This week we focused more on winter weather, snow and snowmen. We made a big winter chain for our classroom with different shades of blues and white, we painted snowmen on the easel, went on an ABC snowflake hunt around the room, created snowflakes with popsicle sticks and decorated them, played with our snow dough, used mini marshmallows and toothpicks to create snowflakes, finished the journal prompt, "What's in your mitten?", cut out snowflakes, practiced writing numbers in a winter counting book and made name snow men! We read the books Sneezy the Snowman, Snowman Magic, The Mitten, and The Mitten Tree.
