January 12th - 15th, 2026: More WINTER weather!

Hello Firefly Families!

This week we focused more on winter weather, snow and snowmen. We made a big winter chain for our classroom with different shades of blues and white, cut out and painted colorful snowmen to go along with our "If Snow Came Down in Colors" book, went on an ABC snowflake hunt around the room, painted mittens and learned about symmetry, practiced writing numbers in a winter counting book, finished the journal prompt, "What's in your mitten?", and read and sequenced the story of The Mitten. We also read the books If Snow Came Down in Colors and The Mitten Tree.

Reminders:

*Firefly Jammie Day! Thursday, January 22nd to wrap up our hibernation unit!

*Afternoon Carpool is from 3:05-3:30. Please pick up your kiddo between these times. Once the buses pull up Jaymi and I will take kiddos to the office. Thank you for your understanding!!
